Whale watching in Guadeloupe by private boat
When to see whales in Guadeloupe?
Humpback whales usually pass through Guadeloupe's waters from about January to April to breed and calve. They are wild animals, so a sighting is never guaranteed, but this is the best time to try. Dolphins can be seen all year round.
Go with your own private boat
We don't run whale-watching trips, but you can rent one of our boats and go looking for them: on your own if you hold a boat licence (required above 6 HP), or with a skipper who drives for you. The boat is just for your group.
Respect the whales
The French West Indies are part of the Agoa sanctuary, which protects marine mammals. Keep a good distance (at least 100 metres), approach slowly from the side, never cut across their path and don't get in the water with them.
Book
Pick your date and boat online, with or without a skipper: your booking is confirmed straight away. Departure from Marina du Gosier, or boat delivery to Bouillante or Deshaies on request (extra charge).
